About this Pattern

Another Knitted Tee by Dorte Bak is a beginner-friendly knitting pattern for a classic and feminine T-shirt with a light and airy feel. It is worked top-down with short rows at the neck and sleeves for shaping, and features yarn over increases that create a beautiful lace detail along the raglan lines. This simple technique adds a delicate, feminine look and makes the pattern accessible even for newer knitters.

The tee is designed for year-round wear, with two yarn options to suit the season. For a breathable summer version, choose Norma fra Lang Yarns (55% cotton, 35% modal, 10% viscose) – 50 g = 135 m. For a luxurious and warmer option, use MeriSilk by Dorte Bak Knitting, a blend of 50% extrafine merino and 50% tussah silk, offering 400 m per 100 g. Both yarns support the tee’s elegant structure and bring out the feminine details beautifully.

Gauge is 21 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 4.0 mm needles. Recommended needles are circular 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm (80 cm), plus DPNs or magic loop for the sleeves. The garment is finished with ribbed edges and Italian bind-off on the sleeves for a clean and polished look.

Dorte Bak Knitting was founded in 2018 and has since published patterns in a classic style with "whimsical" details. I grew up among creative women; all the women in my family have sewn, knitted, and created with their hands. Therefore, it felt entirely natural that, at the age of six, I was given my first knitting needles. Even so, it was only later in life that knitting truly captured me—and since then I haven’t been able to let it go.
