The pattern is designed for yarns such as Merino 120 fra Lang Yarns (50 g = 120 m), Landlust Alpaka Merino 160 fra Lana Grossa (50 g = 160 m) or Cool Wool Cashmere (≈160 m/50 g). When using Merino 120, you’ll need about 130 (140) 150 g in total, corresponding to 60 (70) 80 g of each strand. For the lighter 160 m/50 g yarns, you’ll need approximately 100 (110) 120 g in total, or 50 (55) 60 g of each strand.
The hat begins with a ribbed edge in k2, p1 worked in the round. The brim is folded and joined for a clean finish before continuing in smooth stockinette. The crown is shaped with symmetrical decreases at four points, resulting in a beautifully rounded top.
