About this Pattern

Novice Scarf (Novice Tørklæde) by Knitlidt is a soft and light scarf knitted in merino wool and cashmere or alpaca wool. The scarf can also function as a bandana. The scarf becomes about 20% wider and about 10% narrower when in use. If you want a warmer scarf, you can add an extra strand of yarn. The scarf is beginner-friendly with a simple lace pattern and quick to knit, as it is knitted on size 6 mm needles. You can use Arwetta from Filcolana together with Tilia from Filcolana.

Meet

Knitlidt

My name is Camilla Grady, and I am a 24-year-old student teacher, knitting and coffee enthusiast, who develops knitting patterns in my spare time. As a half-American and Dane with Faroese heritage, I am something of a cultural cocktail, which is also reflected in my knitting. That is why I chose the name Knitlidt ("strik lidt" or "knit a bit"), as it is a blend of my two mother tongues: English and Danish. Many of my patterns are inspired by Faroese knitting culture, including “Katrin,” “Nora,” and “Siri.”
