The Reka Hoodie is deeply rooted in my Faroese heritage, inspired by the tradition of herding sheep in the mountains. The idea arose as a response to the changeable Faroese weather, where the garment was created as a multifunctional piece. The hood can easily be put on and taken off, allowing you to adapt to the weather without effort. With carefully designed details, the style can be used both practically and as part of your stylish outfit.

With 1 strand of Malou Light + 1 strand of Mohair Lace from Lang Yarns, you get the most wonderfully soft hoodie.

The Reka Hoodie is a neck warmer combined with a hoodie, closed under the arms. This is a very deliberate choice to ensure the best possible fit under a jacket. It is created for beginners, just like Sunnva herself.

The front pieces are knitted individually with increases for the neckline and joined using a loop cast-on. More experienced knitters have the option to add curves (increases and decreases) at the sleeves to create a unique detail. The yoke is knitted in the round and finished with an iCord edge, while the neckline is worked in rib by picking up stitches. The hoodie is knitted back and forth in stockinette stitch and joined by binding off with Kitchener stitch in live work.

The Reka Hoodie is a seamless design, making the knitting experience even more enjoyable.
