About this Pattern

The Ladybug Square by Violi is a granny square with lots of personality. You start by crocheting the ladybug, then continue crocheting the rest of the granny square around it. You can leave the ladybug as it is or sew legs onto it. The Ladybug Square can be used for making the Ladybug Vest by the same designer.

You can make the granny square using a 3.5mm crochet hook with organic cotton yarn from Karen Klarbæk or similar yarn. You'll need the following colors: Poppy Red, Black, Optical White and Warm Nature White

Violi

I founded Violi in 2023, where I design crocheted clothing for children. My crochet journey began in 2017, when I was pregnant with my first daughter, but I have loved being creative since childhood, when I, among other things, designed, knitted, and sewed clothes for teddy bears and Barbie. Crochet has become my creative sanctuary in a busy everyday life, and what I enjoy most is coming up with new designs, the crochet process, and seeing the result on my own children or on others’ children.
