About this Pattern

The Ginger Scarf by Adorable Knits is a delicate triangular scarf with a timeless cable design. It is designed as the little sister to the Ginger Shawl and works beautifully as a light accessory for spring, summer, and autumn. Elegant yet practical, this scarf adds warmth without feeling bulky.

The scarf is knitted back and forth, starting at one tip and gradually increasing until the centre is reached. From there, the scarf is shaped with matching decreases to create a balanced, symmetrical triangle. Increases and decreases are worked every fourth row, giving the scarf a clean and structured look. The cable pattern runs through the centre and gives the design its signature Ginger style.

The pattern includes three sizes: S, M and L.
Finished measurements are approximately 85 (108) 139.5 cm in length and 11.5 (15.5) 19.5 cm at the widest point.

The Ginger Scarf is knitted using 4 mm circular needles with a 60 cm cable. The recommended gauge in the cable pattern is 27 stitches x 28 rows per 10 x 10 cm. This gauge creates a light fabric with clear stitch definition.

Two yarn combinations are suggested:

  1. Fine Merino (50 g = 175 m) held together with Pearl Mohair (25 g = 210 m) from MAJO Garn
    Yarn usage: Merino: 25 (38) 65 g + Mohair: 11 (16) 28 g

  2. Cashmere Klassik (25 g = 105 m) held together with Kid Seta (25 g = 210 m) from Gepard Garn. Cashmere Klassik: 23 (30) 55 g + Kid Seta: 11 (16) 28 g

Total yarn usage is approximately 80–90 (110–130) 210–230 meters.
This equals roughly 175–210 meters per 50 g, depending on yarn choice.

The Ginger Scarf is part of the Ginger collection and matches perfectly with the Ginger Hat and Ginger Mittens. It is a quick and enjoyable knit, suitable for confident beginners and experienced knitters alike. A beautiful project for yourself or a thoughtful handmade gift.
