About this Pattern

Lumber Sweater by The Knit is On is knitted in a classic gingham pattern with large checks using multi-colored knitting (jacquard), where two colors of yarn are combined. The sweaters are knitted in the round from the top down with increases for a narrow saddle shoulder and later for the sleeves. This beautiful pattern is knitted with 3 different yarn combinations.

Lumber Sweater is worked with 4 mm needles and 2 strands CaMaRose or 2 strands Zen from Lang Yarns as a yarn alternative.

Meet

The Knit is On

I design knitting patterns in my spare time and aim to create practical designs with a small twist of something different or fun. I have always knitted, but over the past few years I have become completely hooked. If you could look inside my head, you would find a whirl of thoughts about yarn, colors, patterns, constructions, and techniques. I find inspiration in many places—most often starting from something I would like to make and wear myself.
