About this Pattern

Siri Scrunchie (Siri Hårelastik) by Knitlidt is a hair elastic made with the same floral pattern as Siri Mittens - Winter Edition, and both patterns are inspired by a traditional Faroese design. The scrunchie keeps hair securely in place as it has an elastic inside. The closure can be challenging if you choose to do a knit-together closure around an elastic, which gives a beautiful result. You can use yarn such as Jawoll from Lang Yarns or Arwetta Classic from Filcolana for your scrunchie. You'll need a size 3 needle for this.

Knitlidt

My name is Camilla Grady, and I am a 24-year-old student teacher, knitting and coffee enthusiast, who develops knitting patterns in my spare time. As a half-American and Dane with Faroese heritage, I am something of a cultural cocktail, which is also reflected in my knitting. That is why I chose the name Knitlidt ("strik lidt" or "knit a bit"), as it is a blend of my two mother tongues: English and Danish. Many of my patterns are inspired by Faroese knitting culture, including “Katrin,” “Nora,” and “Siri.”
