Blindsker Sweater is a striking hand-knit design created by Rakel L., Knitter from Iceland, known for her modern interpretations of traditional Nordic knitwear. This unisex pullover features a bold colorwork yoke and clean contemporary fit, combining warmth and timeless Icelandic style.
The sweater is worked seamlessly from the bottom up in the round, using the authentic Icelandic wool Ístex Álafosslopi, a thick, rustic yarn ideal for outerwear. It is available in sizes XXS to 5XL, ensuring a flattering fit for all body types. The design has a slightly shorter body and slim fit; for a looser silhouette, choose a larger size. The pattern is knitted with 6mm and 7mm circular and double-pointed needles, and the tension gauge is 13 stitches and 18 rows per 10x10 cm using 7mm needles.
Yarn used: Ístex Álafosslopi, 100g = 100m, giving a running length of 50 meters per 50g. The wool’s natural insulation makes it warm, durable, and water-resistant while maintaining breathability.
