Hark Sweater is a timeless unisex Icelandic-style pullover designed by Knitter from Iceland. This beautiful design combines traditional Nordic colorwork with a modern, slim fit silhouette. The sweater is knitted from the bottom up, seamlessly in the round, using the classic Icelandic wool Ístex Álafosslopi — a warm and durable yarn perfect for outerwear.

The pattern is available in ten sizes: XXS–5XL, ensuring a comfortable fit for everyone. The design features a shorter body length for a contemporary look, but you can easily adjust the length if you prefer a looser style. The Hark is knitted with 6mm and 7mm circular and double-pointed needles. The tension gauge is 13 stitches and 18 rows per 10x10 cm using 7mm needles.

Yarn used: Ístex Álafosslopi (100g = 100m). The running length per 50g is approximately 50 meters. The yarn blend provides outstanding warmth and texture, ideal for showcasing the striking colorwork of the yoke.

The neckband is worked in rib and can be folded and sewn down for extra comfort. After knitting, the sweater should be gently soaked in lukewarm water with mild conditioner and laid flat to dry. Knitter from Iceland

I learned to knit at age 6 and fell in love right away. Over the years I’ve mostly focused on traditional Icelandic Wool sweaters (lopapeysa). After a burnout in 2023, knitting became my therapy. I couldn't decide which patterns to knit, so I decided to try and make my own. The process made me feel alive again, and that’s why I haven't stopped since. My inspiration comes from colors, nature, and even music or memories.
