Maya Tee is a beautifully designed knitted top by designer Miriam Walchshäusl, also known as Mrs Funny Valentine. Inspired by the words and legacy of Maya Angelou, this design carries a message of kindness, strength, and hope, expressed through a soft color fade and elegant structure.
The Maya Tee is knit seamlessly from the top down with a classic round yoke construction. The neckline is shaped using short rows for a comfortable and flattering fit. Delicate vertical texture columns and slim lateral braids at the neckline and sleeve hems add refined detail to the design. The gently flared A-line shape flows into a dreamy color gradient towards the hem, making the top both modern and timeless.
The pattern is worked using Hobbii Baby Cotton, a soft and breathable yarn made from 100% cotton. Each 50 g skein has a yardage of 170 meters, equivalent to 3.4 meters per gram. The design combines single-strand and double-strand knitting to enhance texture and create a smooth and balanced fabric.

Maya Tee is available in women’s sizes XS through 5XL, offering an inclusive size range. Both body and sleeve length are easily adjustable to suit individual preferences. The total yarn requirement varies by size and ranges from approximately 1,150 to 2,005 meters, using one main color and three contrast colors to create the soft fade effect.
