Claudia Wrap is a powerful and elegant triangular shawl designed by Mrs Funny Valentine. The design is inspired by the Italian freedom fighter Claudia Ruggerini and reflects themes of courage, resistance, and the quiet strength found in deliberate, mindful making. The wrap is worked as a large triangle and knitted flat from one side, shaped gradually through decreases along the top edge. The design features three distinct color sections created using intarsia technique: one main color and two contrast colors. These structured color bands create a woven appearance while maintaining a soft, fluid drape. The fabric is fully reversible, with a subtly textured back that adds depth and interest.
Claudia Wrap is knitted using 4.5 mm needles and DK weight yarn. The original design uses Purl Soho Cashmere Merino Bloom, a luxurious blend of 75% merino and 25% cashmere with a yardage of 199 meters per 100 grams.
